Appearance and softness alone cannot reliably prove that extensions are entirely human hair. Start with a written material specification, supplier traceability and an appropriate sample assessment. If material verification is commercially important, agree suitable independent testing before purchase.
Confirm whether the product is described as human hair, synthetic fibre or a blend. Separately ask about processing, cuticle alignment and any origin claim. Each statement needs its own support; a human-hair declaration does not prove that the hair is raw or uncoloured.
Shine, feel, water response and styling behaviour can be influenced by processing and finishing. They can help you describe a sample but do not independently establish every material claim. Photographs cannot replace a specification or appropriate verification.
Burning a sample or applying aggressive chemicals can create hazards and destroy evidence while still leaving questions unanswered. Ask a suitable laboratory or technical professional which method addresses the specific material claim you need to verify.
Retain the sample, order reference and any report that identifies what was tested. Agree how the approved specification is carried into production and future orders. For everyday buying, also evaluate attachment construction, shade, weight, fullness and handling; authenticity alone does not define the finished quality.
