Choose weft length around the intended finished look, the client’s starting cut and the installer’s assessment. Confirm how the supplier measures the hair and compare fullness at the same stated length. A number of inches alone does not describe the final result.

The installer should assess the natural hair length, density and cut before planning an extension service. A larger length change can require different blending and weight decisions. Do not use a fixed length rule as a substitute for that consultation.
Ask where measurement begins and ends and whether a textured product is measured stretched or in its natural state. Keep the measurement method on the approved specification. Two products labelled with the same length can appear different because of texture, cut or end distribution.
Check how much of the hair reaches the intended finished length. Spread comparable samples and photograph the ends under consistent conditions. The same total grams distributed over different lengths will not necessarily give the same density at the bottom.
For a brand or wholesale network, start with lengths that fit the customer and method you serve.
