How to Store Hair Extensions Before Salon Use or Resale

PLUCHARM / PROFESSIONAL BUYING GUIDE

Store clean, fully dry extensions in protective packaging away from moisture, direct sunlight and unnecessary friction. Keep each product identifiable by method, grade, shade, length and quantity so stock remains suitable for both use and accurate reordering.

Check incoming stock before storing it

Compare the delivered products with the order and packing list. Document any dampness, damaged packaging or discrepancy before opening every pack or putting the stock into service. Keep the order reference linked to the stored products.

Protect the hair and attachment

Keep lengths aligned and restrained without sharply bending the attachment. Avoid compressing delicate bases or allowing loose products to rub together. Follow any product-specific adhesive or packaging storage instructions provided with the order.

Separate approved samples from saleable stock

Label retained colour and quality references with their date and product specification. Keep sample-use and display stock separate so the available selling quantity is accurate. A sample exposed to sunlight or repeated handling may no longer be a reliable colour reference.

Inspect before installation or dispatch

Review the pack condition, identification and hair handling before use. Storage condition does not prove that a product is suitable indefinitely; follow product-specific guidance and assess the actual hair and attachment. Do not assign a universal shelf-life claim without supporting conditions.
