Match curly extensions to the client’s dry curl pattern, density, colour and intended finish. Compare a physical sample after washing and air-drying: the appearance of a freshly styled bundle is not enough to establish how it will blend in daily wear.

Discuss whether the client wears their hair air-dried, diffused or regularly styled. Compare more than one area of the head because curl patterns and density can vary. The installer should assess the natural hair before deciding the attachment method and finished weight.
Photograph both the natural hair and sample with similar lighting and scale. Compare curl size, direction, density and shrinkage after the same care routine. A curl that appears similar when stretched may finish at a different visible length after drying.
Check roots, mid-lengths and ends together. A curl pattern creates different shadows from straight hair, so screen images can conceal a tonal mismatch. Use a physical colour reference and note whether a rooted or blended shade is needed.
Ask whether the requested texture is available for the exact grade, shade, length and attachment. Do not assume every combination is in stock. For a salon or brand launch, keep the approved sample and its wash-and-dry record; share that reference when ordering again.
