Human hair extensions may already be chemically processed. Do not assume they can tolerate bleaching, repeated colouring or every toner. Ask for product-specific guidance and have a professional assess a small strand before treating a full set.

Tell the supplier the exact shade and product reference. Ask whether lightening, colouring or texture processing has already occurred and what further services are permitted. A human hair or Remy label does not establish chemical compatibility.
A darker target, a grey tone and a lighter blonde require different assessments. Porosity and the existing colour can affect uptake and uniformity. This guide does not prescribe a developer strength, bleach formula or processing time; those decisions require the product instructions and a qualified colourist.
The number of previous services alone cannot establish remaining tolerance. Condition, processing history, strand-test results and the proposed formula matter. Repeated treatment can alter texture, colour and strength even if an earlier service appeared successful.
For a salon or private-label range, approving the desired colour before production can reduce the need for later correction. Keep a record of any treatment applied to your sample and ask how alterations affect the agreed returns or warranty conditions.
