FOR SALONS, STYLISTS & HAIR BRANDS

PLUCHARM / THE PROFESSIONAL COLLECTION

Weft Hair Extensions

Weft hair extensions are lengths of hair sewn or bonded into a
continuous row, or “weft”, that is attached to the head as one panel rather than
strand by strand. A weft covers far more area per attachment than any individual
method, which is why it is the format most salons reach for when a client wants
volume rather than flexibility — and why it is the cheapest weft per gram of hair
to install.

PLUCHARM manufactures four weft formats, all on the same 12A cuticle-aligned
stock and all supplied as 100 g sets in 26 shade references across 18, 20, 22 and
24 inch lengths.

Which weft format to choose

Genius weft — a fine,
hand-made weft with an exceptionally flat seam. The least detectable format, and
the one that suits fine or fragile natural hair because the row sits close to the
scalp without bulk.
Butterfly genius
weft
— a two-sided genius weft that can be folded, so a single row
covers more width and sits closer still. Best where coverage matters more than
discretion.
Hand-tied weft —
tied by hand in small sections, giving a soft, natural drape and excellent
movement. The traditional choice for clients who want the hair to behave like their
own.
Machine weft — the
most economical format and the most durable seam. The workhorse weft for volume and
length, and usually the best value per gram.

What decides the price of a weft
Four things, and only the first is about the word “weft”: the length, the weight
per set, whether the cuticle is intact and aligned, and the format’s construction
cost. A weft is sold by weight, so “one weft” is not a unit — always buy in grams.
Our 100 g sets run from US$176 to US$272 depending on length and
colour, before freight.

Buying wefts at wholesale
As a manufacturer rather than a trader, we supply the same weft lines to salons,
distributors and private label brands that we sell under our own name. That means a
specification you approve can be re-run identically, and the grade can be checked
rather than taken on trust. Trade pricing, minimums and lead times are on the
wholesale hair extensions page; private label, OEM and
ODM runs are on the private label page.

Not sure which format?
The four formats differ more in seam and installation than in the hair itself.
Our guide explains what a weft actually is, how the formats compare side by side,

Order a sample before a production run. Seam height, drape and shade cannot be
judged from a photograph, and the approved sample is the reference that settles any
later question about consistency.
