What “factory-direct” means here

The distinction that matters in this trade is whether the seller owns the production
or relays an order to someone who does. PLUCHARM manufactures in its own workshop, which
is why a specification can be changed rather than only selected from a catalogue:
lengths, shade matching against a buyer’s existing colour ring, weight tolerance per set,
and the packaging and tags the goods ship under.

It also determines what can be answered when a lot deviates. A manufacturer can trace
a delivery back to a production run and say what happened. A trader cannot, because the
answer sits on a floor they do not own. That traceability is the practical difference
between the two, and it is why we publish the inspection points rather than only a
quality claim. The process is set out on the
factory quality control page, and the standard a lot is
held to is described in
quality consistency across repeat orders.

What the company does not claim

PLUCHARM is a manufacturer, not a certification body. Where a buyer needs ISO, OEKO-TEX
or similar documentation, the relevant certificates belong to the processors and testing
laboratories in the supply chain, and they should be read for what they actually cover —
a certificate names a scope, a facility and a date, and those three things are what make
it useful or useless to a given order. We would rather point a buyer at the document than
at a badge.
